In this paper a new internet information system for classification and diagnosing
of melanoid data, is briefly described. The system allows the analysis of
real medical data, basing on calculation of TDS (Total Dermatoscopy
Score) parameter [1,2] on two independent pathways. The first approach
is based on calculation of classical ABCD formula [1], whereas
the second one is relied on calculation of the optimized ABCD
formula [3]. Additionally, the system has implemented specific method of
data analysis, based on the application of quasi-optimal decision trees [4].
The developed internet-based tool displays also some teaching functions, and
enables users to make early, non-invasive diagnosing of melanocytic lesions
on the skin. It is possible, using built-in set of instructions, to animate
diagnosis of four basic lesions types: benign nevus, blue nevus,
suspicious nevus and melanoma malignant. The system is currently
available on the Internet website: http://www.wsiz.rzeszow.pl/ksesi.
