This dual session will focus on disaster data collection, disaster database and its application in natural disaster mitigation. Participants will discus the issues on disaster assessment, disaster forecasting and warning, disaster modeling, disaster information standardization, disaster information share as well as the new scientific and technological consummations in disaster data collection and application. The issues related to disaster management and the comprehensive disaster information systems construction at various levels (national level, regional level or global level) will also be involved.
