The medical field has
accumulated rich scientific data since long ago in our country, but most of them
limit to their own department use, even personal use, not yet sharing for all
the society. That’s the reason why data resources utilization rate is rather
low. Now the sharing net construction provides a platform for realizing medical
data sharing. While to achieve effective integration and widespread sharing
across different field or department, the standard should be followed above all
to describe the sharing data sets.
The data set description standard requires
each data-set-producing department knows the concept，content, component and
structure of the sharing data sets clearly, based on analyzing the need of
sharing service, then describes them following the standard.
