New access to scientific content - The TIB as a DOI registration agency

In cooperation with several World Data centers, the German National Library of science and Technology has become a non-profit DOI registration agency. Over 200,000 primary data sets have been rewarded with DOIs to offer open and easy access to the data that is behind publications. New collaborations are currently opening this system and the library catalogue to other content types like: medical case-studies, learning objects, crystal structures or grey literature.
