Telemedicine in Poland

Present situation in development of IT infrastructure in Poland is discussed. The role of science in development of information society technologies is underlined. Several basic initiatives, projects, services and databases devoted to telemedicine are presented. Accessibility to databases including medical information systems in science is possible due to repository of scientific databases - INFOBAZY. Several projects devoted to specific medical applications are discussed. Importance of visualization in medical diagnostics is underlined. Problems of content based searching and semantic logical problem recognition are commented.
