Study on the architecture of sharing service platform of Agricultural Science Data

Agricultural Science Data (ASD) is the basis and sources of continuously development of agriculture science research and ceaselessly innovation of science and technology. As a strategic information resource, ASD not only directly reflects the development level of a countries agricultural scientech, but also affects the ability of development and improvement of the power of agricultural scientech. For that, it becomes an urgent subject how to effectively collect, store, distribute and utilize the resources of ASD.
As an important part of national science data sharing project, the MOST of China has launched the Agricultural science data sharing project in 2002. By integrating the ASD resources, the project aims to build up the system of ASD resources management and public opened sharing services, providing strongly support to the innovation of agricultural science and technology in China.
Building up the sharing service platform is a complex system engineering, it requires the feasible planning and efficiently organizing. It is built based on consistently standard and regulations, with the vehicle of wide-brand communication network, with the core of huge scale of digital ASD resources, and with the guaranty of the information technology. Above all, it is required a stable, cooperative talent team.
The thesis mainly focus on the study and analysis the best approach of building up the sharing service platform in the agricultural science data sharing project, applying the theory and methodology of structure design and system engineering into the analysis and design of the architecture of the platform. As a large scale distributing network application system, the architecture outlines the component of the platform and their relationships, provides a framework for the discovery, description, organization, indexing and searching, and information sharing of ASD under the network environment, emphasis on the solutions of interoperability .The quality of architecture has a directly affect to the stability, flexibility and usability of the platform. The building up of the architecture has to be based on the technology, but does not have to limit to the technology. The architecture has to reflect not only the overall concept of the whole project but also the different internal and external critical factors, for the purposes of the guaranty of its feasibility and optimizing
In the last section, the thesis also gives the layer based architecture model of the platform and the related technology.
