Towards more flexible and versatile applications extracting data and
information on the Internet, a new approach is emerging: the central idea is
from the object-oriented to the agent-oriented. In future the actively mobile
agents could collect the necessary data and information on the net and proper
evaluation would be carried out either locally or remotely depending on the
analyst's expertise.
In this paper we focus on
how to aggregate the heterogeneous materials data distributed in various materials
data systems. Our interest is to combine the query of materials data and the
materials data evaluation intelligently. As a case study we examined the XML
based materials databases for creep and fatigue and data evaluation modules
written as the Java applet/servlet. A
prototyping experience will be presented.
