The
Time lags of data capture and data services have been one of most important
issues in database businesses. Freshness of data and quality of data have
been a typical pair of trade-off feature. In this paper a prototype system
to solve such trade-offs is proposed to show one direction of data activities.
So as to illustrate the issues clearly, we select a system to purify one contaminated lake by association of purifiers with sensors, communication tools and engines. Generally environmental data are fragmentary, irreversible, time dependent, of multi-facets and model-linked, while actions and solutions are to be proactive, intelligent, dynamic, practical and converging. So as to realize this sort of features and functions, we need to establish a certain level of capacity on data and models with remedies to deal with their uncertainties.
