Santiago Borrero

Since 1994, Santiago is Director General of 'Agustin Codazzi', the Geographic Institute of Colombia (IGAC). Currently, he is Chair of the Global Spatial Data Infrastructure (GSDI) Steering Committee, President of the Pan American Institute for Geography and History (PAIGH) Cartographic Commission and National Coordinator of the Colombian Spatial Data Infrastructure (ICDE).

Santiago has been Inaugural President of the Permanent Committee on SDI for the Americas (PCIDEA), General Manager of the Bogota's Water and Sewerage Supply Company (EAAB), the Colombian Association of Consulting Engineers (AICO) and the National Fund for Development Projects (FONADE). He represents Colombia at the following international associations: FIG, ICA, ISPRS, ISCGM, IAG and IUG.
